ValleyGods

Twelve thousand years of human history, lived by people whose minds you can read.

ValleyGods is a simulation of human lives from the end of the Ice Age on. The Long Run starts in 10,000 BCE on a living globe: bands of hunters and gatherers at the edge of the ice, the first fields, villages, towns and states, seeded rather than scripted. Drag the Earth, zoom to a region, tap a light and you are in a village, among the people of their age, at the hour the world is living.

Every person has needs, a temperament, a memory, a family and a faith, and every thought you read is grounded in what the simulation is doing. Nobody is real; every person is fictional.

What you can do

Two calendars

A world counts its own years from the day it began; the god's view also shows the historian's date (BCE or CE), and the people keep their own reckoning, such as "the 11th winter since the hunger".

Godhood is earned

You start as a Wisp and rise through Whisperer, Guardian, Patron, Oracle and Demiurge to Valley God. Renown comes from how the lives you touch flourish, never from clicks; Grace pays for miracles; a Seed, earned by seeing a life through to an honest death, founds a world. Public worlds are founded by Valley Gods.

Questions

Is it free?
Yes. Watching every world and reading every mind costs nothing. Sign-in (Google) is needed only to occupy a life and to found worlds.
Does it work on a phone?
It is built phone first: drag, flick and pinch the globe and the ground. A world runs whole in your browser, so it also plays offline once opened.
